Thin Film Evaporation

Thin film technique encompasses all thermal processes in mechanically created thin films.
Thin film evaporators are
used in the chemical industry to obtain high purity products and are especially qualified for the processing of highly viscous mediums. We provide the evaporators as a fully automated turnkey skid with an accurate disign answering the customer user requirements.

Thin Film Heat Exchanger Type DW

The thin film heat exchanger consists mainly of a high precision tube with a double jacket and a rotor with welded-on circulation elements. An external pump is in charge of the axial product transport. Typical uses are heating, cooling, mixing and reacting of high vicosity products (pastes and melted masses).

Thin Film Flash Evaporator Type DKW

Those are suitable for the evaporation of high-boiling substances under vacuum, in order to lower the boiling temperature.

  • Evaporation of clean, high-boiling liquids under vacuum. Industrial applications with a vacuum range from 10 to 2 mbar
  • Thin film flash evaporators are available with mobile wiper elements or as a simplified version.

Thin Film Dryer

These plants are used for the realisation of a continuous evaporation, which leaves a dry, powdery residue and can also be conducted under vacuum.

Thin Film Combinated Dryer Type DTK

These achieve absolutely dry powder without any residual humidity. Removing all residual humidity requires a longer residence time (approx. 30 min) which is impossible using a plain thin film dryer. However, combining a vertical thin film dryer with a subsequent horizontal contact dryer satifies these requirements perfectly.
